Applications of Mueller Matrix Polarimetry to Biological and Agricultural Diagnostics: A Review

The review contains a systematization of the main approaches to practical implementation Mueller matrix polarimetry and prospects for its application in biology agriculture. most typical optical layouts measuring various objects, such as disperse systems, tissues surface structures, are discussed. measurements, being integrated into standard schemes conventional methods, scatterometry, coherence tomography, fluorimetry, spectrophotometry reflectometry, can significantly expand their capabilities characterization biological systems bioorganic materials. Additionally, microwave be used monitoring soil conditions crop growth. proposed is aimed at outlining conceptual directions development non-invasive diagnostic tools based on matrix, primarily with focus research agricultural practice.
